What stuff have you found in your van?

I found a genuine VW bus jack. Still not brave enough to use it though.

 

I found magnetic key safe hidden in the engine bay with a fuel cap key and ignition key . Was behind the batterie next to all the rust , still means I've got spare keys

 

My US import had plenty of money in it. That was it, until last weekend when i stripped the solid sliding sunroof out. Lo and behold, in the recess where it slides back into i found...












....millions of twigs and leaves!!

 

Hornets nest with dead one crawling out, lots of dead spiders, US receipts for various eateries, kids drawing book with pens, few other bits and bobs

 

3 or 4 black widows.
Malc - sounds like that was Heroin - well chucked!

 

In the chassis rails we found some Australian baby spider cocoons. The bus had been imported from Australia 12-months earlier, so I guess they were dead! No sign of Mom and Dad spider. I wonder where they went to? Did they make it to the UK? Is there a colony of Red Backs or Huntsmen lurking somewhere in the local woods, waiting for their next victim? >

 

Two disposable lighters, two boxes of matches and a clicky hob lighter. Seems the PO was paranoid about not being able to light the stove.

Under the seats we found an original jack and a box containing new clutch cable, throttle cable, fan belt, condensor, dizzy and light bulbs. Plus the guts of a non-working radio.

 

Polystyrene/foam cushion use as panel insulation, loose screws, a very dodgily stained curtain and lots of pay and display tickets stuck to the roof beneath the headlining!

 

Removed the bed and fridge from William today and found a few coins and a couple of rubbers from vagas!!

 

I tried giving him the kiss of life...

 

There seems to be a theme here, drugs, porn, and unopened(thank god) condoms...

 

£1 and a lot of holes!

 

In the fuel tank: one filler nozzle, a big spring, two large washers and one of those Broquet lead things. Elsewhere: about 25p's worth of pesetas, a Leatherman plier/penknife thing, a collection of small pebbles and an 80s disco hits tape.

 

Well i guess we got hosed?
A Volkswagon factory jack,acouple 22 shells, a set of 1997 license plates from Wyoming,probaly that time it was on the road? 5 hub caps,part of a 'westy' interior,insurance from Colorado,Wyoming,Arizona & Mexico-along with some cards from when it was a rental car back in the 70's


Plus a ton of 'bondo'filler!

 

that actually does look like a finger bob! actually the walking dead version - hang on, theres an idea for a new tv show - zombie finger bobs

 

We found a magnet that says 'Let them eat jellybeans', a sticker for a place called Big Agnes (think it's a ski resort), a washington state highway patrol card, the jack (which we have used), and some other random nuts and bolts...

 

Found £200 in the van once. Its was nice but not as nice as it would of been if we hadn't put it there but someone else.

 

Found some several Yankee coins, 3 match sleeves, also had a rattle in the front air vents so opened it up and found a pair of pliers.

But best find was top of the range Swiss Army knife , soaked it in wd40 for a week and its like new.
