I once went over a year without changing sandwich filling in my pack up, pork luncheon meat and horse radish.
I've been pretty much like that with mostly cheese & branston, interspersed by the occasional and widely daring ham & branston ... will have to try the marmite with tomatoes - I usually have cucumber with marmite, but it makes me a bit burpy (TMI) ...
My choice of filling was more convenience than addiction, making sandwiches on autopilot in the time it takes a kettle to boil leaves little time for choice. That and the fact that Mrs Silver had some sort of standing order with Tesco. If I didn't eat it we got a backlog. If I had time and choice I would go for cheese, thinly sliced tomato and good quality mayo. I'm off to tell the folks on Jk now
Whatever happened to good old cheese and tomato - with perhaps a little mayonnaise to hold it all together?
Just tried a new sarnie and its amazing even if I do say so myself. Toasted bread with humous, then chargrilled peppers, feta and a bit of young leafy salad. Yummy!!
