    whats it fastened to Steve?

cant really make out what it does, it looks like some form of bung to block the end of a pipe off. Any more pics?

Im in Major today, so if you can get some more I'll try n compare yours to mine...oooerrr :lol

  3. Hard to tell from the pic dude

Does it screw into the engine case?

All I have is a bump on me bonce..banged me head looking :-X

Mine looks nothing like yours, I have the inlets with the injectors built in, I dont have them connections like you have.

If they are tight, thats one thing...they will not be CHT connections, there is only one of those, not four!

  7. We ll I tightens it up and it would nt tick over loosened it off and it would so tightened it up and adjusted carb and it goes like hot snot now :) but would still like to know what it is ?

if it goes like hot snot, leave it be!!

I'll have a look in the book tonight unless someone can identify it! Unless its the flux capacitor screw

  9. I think it's something to do with the EGR... I know there was a couple of different systems... one injected into the plenum, and I'm pretty sure there was another that injected straight into the inlet port..

on our 77 the EGR connects into the throttle body (plenum chamber?) - the bloody thing's pipe broke, we gotta weld it up

  12. I think Paul's right - part of the US-spec exhaust gas recirculation system. If the holes aren't bunged up, your van will be very, very loud as exhaust gas blasts out of the hole in the head :). Bunging up is all that is necessary - that's all your screwy bits are doing.

  13. I've heard a recon Vege engine start up without the holes plugged (nobody noticed at the time). Your neighbours will love you :)...
