Dont know about ebay , but is it just me that gets great pleasure when i find things about tuppence cheaper from Toolstation than it costs from Screwfix.
Quite a few things over the last week .... all of which appear to be coming with a 'signed for' sticker on them, which results in a small red card saying 'you weren't in so we'll try to deliver tomorrow'. No **** Sherlock, I've got a job, and that won't have changed tomorrow. And thus the same old chain of events is set in motion where they try again, I'm not in again, via the website we settle on delivery to my local post office, I fail to get through the post office door by the time they close at 5pm (normally the sign changes from Open to Closed in the few seconds it takes me to stop the car and get my seatbelt undone), and eventually I collect my parcel on Saturday. Hey ho.
A drill / various other tools storage shelf, not perfect but will do the job for now, until I can justify a better more expensive solution.
Hope it works out, my mate spends more time fitting the fiddly bits back on the board before he can attach the tools than he actually spends using the tools
I'm trying to avoid putting a bid in on a vintage Bush record player. I can't afford it and I don't need it. I want it.
What were you interested in? Later Bush stuff was pretty awful. How far back do you want to go? A Pye Black Box is rather stylish (if rather pricey), but would need fixing up.
I'm after an RP50 like I had when I was a kid. Early/mid 60s vintage (the record player NOT me!) I like the Pye Black Box, but don't have the skills to fix these things (well, I'd have a go but....) Currently got a Dansette, but the auto doesn't work, and I'd like the Bush on preference. Love that old valve sound
I’ve not got the peg board, just the drill shelf, looked at peg board and only found rather expensive ones like ‘Wall Control’ seemed any good.
Hmm. Bit too 1960s for my taste. Easy enough to fix up if it's broken, although the cartridge might be a problem.
