In a week I will be. This weekend nowhere to go and I should face some "stuff".

Sitting in our office in Birmingham looking out over the Jaguar Factory and thinking great, another %^*! meeting to go to at 12.

 

sitting in Wilma, glad we're not in a tent as the rain is sooo heavy and the ground is becoming a series of puddles , mostly water now hardly any ground :rain:

Sitting here in my trackie bottoms after 2 long days on the Clearing Hotline.

 

Working my way through an area of brambles in the garden. Taller than I am and 15 x 30 ft worth. This is third session and I've removed about half. Too hot to do anything useful in the house.

 

Out to resume deforestation duties. When I got there there was a fluttering in the brambles. I thought it would be a pigeon, but there was a hawk staring me in the eye, wings spread out protecting some bloodied creatutre it had caught. Something quite big, I guess a bird - squeaked (the prey) so the hawk tore another bit off it. By the time I got back with the camera it had gone.

I'm really chuffed - I've never seen anything quite like that in action close up - it was about 4-5ft away trapped by the brambles for several minutes.

 

being a total lard arse, sat on sofa watching "bugged out weekend" on discovery.....watching beetle crisis for the nth time......

 

Packing for our whirlwind tour of Ontario - Toronto, Niagara, Huntsville and Keene finishing with 2 days in a log cabin on Lake Rice. Probably the last "family" holiday (kids are 17 and 20) so making it a good un!

Float plane flight booked, Speedboat for a day on Lake Rice, CN Tower etc...and...
I've always been scared of flying so the next 24 hours will be flippin' difficult!

im wielding a rather large crow bar big jigsaw electric cutter and scratching plaster out of my hair but almost done...the bus electrics were a lot better than the ones i discovered under the bath and down in the cupboard which is now an airy open hallway
