In Scotland! Yes, it was sunny - honest! I left Bristol Airport at 6.30am, it was torrential rain there, landed in Edin burg it was freezing and overcast. As I headed towards Prestwick the Sun started to break through, and it got to the heady heights of 14C ! Had lunch in The Hawes Inn, my favourite place in the World, South Queensferry looking out at the Firth of Forth rail bridge. In the 26 years since I first saw the bridge, and every year I've seen it since 1997, today was the first time I've seen it in all it's glory, sans scaffolding and plastic sheeting
With u on that bruv!, and!!! over the bridge turn right and just down there u got Kinghorn beach ,ah, happy days , that entire coastline is a joy , hope to get over in me bay shortly !!
Here is the first digital camera pic I ever took of the bridge, can't remember when but it was the crappest camera! On not such a nice day...
Think it would have to be flying Scotsman, whilst Mallard and SNG are fantastic trains they would look too modern for the perfect picture.
I love architecture and history like this - only ever flown over it on the way into Edinburgh - great pics
I once drove over the road bridge and came back over the rail bridge ( on a train ) in the same day, its a magnificent structure
It's one of the reasons why I like living in scotland... you get completely random days like this where the weather is so nice it's amazing!!
