Finished watching Reacher on that Prime thingy today. Most enjoyable. I’ve not read the Lee Child books and I’ve not seen the Tom Cruise films, but it’s comforting escapism to see the bad guys get their comeuppance in various nasty ways :D. Anyone else seen it or have a favourite badass? I thought Denzil Washington was great in The Equaliser, mostly because he didn’t look like a badass and still produced a satisfying body count

I watched 8 episodes in two days :D. He is a big unit isn’t he? I like the humour in it too. He has a touch of the Clint Eastwoods about him, good supporting cast.

Mike Ermantraut in Breaking Bad is a good example of one of those slightly older badasses, who doesn’t look like he’d cause you much trouble but…… :D

  8. There’s a new Pablo Escobar series out but I haven’t seen it yet (not had enough me-time). The original Narcos series was good though.

Another old time badass was Henry Fonda in ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’.
You wouldn’t want to try staring him out.

  9. You’re right about Clint
It’s good to Binge certainly better than watching an episode a week, then you spend wasted time recapping or you loose the plot

  10. Read all the Jack Reacher series books- Tom Cruise just didn't do it so hope the new one is better. Go ahead punk - make my day - most Clint Eastwood heroes are good.

I had heard that some Lee Child fans said Cruise didn’t fit the role at all. That said, I’ve not read the books.
Oh yes, Dirty Harry , good call. He played a good older badass in Gran Torino as well.

  20. Watched all 8 episodes and loved it. The only bit I thought that was wrong was that fight in the pool near the end. 6ft 5in 250lbs vs 5ft 7in 120lbs. Suppose it was for the drama.
