10 weeks? jesus! i waited 8...that's a joke, i really hope all's ok, i'd be worrying by now.

  7. I am worried...

  8. Have spoken to Miranda from California Connection - ETA is 2 Dec now, then a week to get to Derbyshire. That will be 12 weeks in total. I'm a bit annoyed it's taking so long, but glad I have an ETA... :)

I was planning on getting it all up and running, MOT'd registered and everything so I could drive back up to the Midlands for Christmas in it - hopefully I'll still have time to sort all that out.

  9. Good news about the ETA. At least you know it is en route and not just 'sitting on the dock of the bay.....' !

2nd December gives you loads of time to get it Mot'd etc. (says the bloke who's van has sat on the driveway whilst he does the decorating :( , my price for getting a van ::) ).

At least when it is here and you are getting it MOT'd, you can start another thread (Waiting for) My new MOT! ;)

  10. I am suprised it's taken this long tbh
Did she say why it's taken this long

  11. Great to hear you have an ETA :)

  16. Don't get excited... it's no arrived or anything silly like that.

I have a question about insurance. I'm insuring the camper on the chassis number for up to 2 weeks while I sort the registration out. As the insurance won't start until the MOT has been done, how is the vehicle insured up until then? Or is it just not? It's going to go from the port, to Derbyshire, then on a transporter to the garage for it's MOT. Or will it be covered by the transport companies insurance?

    Thanks.

Who know's, this time next week I might have it!! :D

it should be covered by the company who is transporting it - but I would double check for peace of mind!!

you don't need tax or mot to insure it, ring peter james (or others) to confirm, i insured mine from vin number from the second it was on my transporters trailer in the uk, i had pre warned them the details and had 30 days to get a uk reg etc, i did not take out insurance with the shippers.

  19. I did nt insure mine till I was at the mot station and it had passed :0
