Unwanted horny noises!

  1. When Im manouvring the bus at low speed and therefore putting more force onto the steering wheel the horn keeps sounding. Whats that all about! Been doing it for a while and stopped when I turned the light control stalks around the column a bit (as it keeps coming loose anyway). Cross-over stylee switches btw as its a 72/3.

  2. i would say the horn ring under the steering wheel has come loose and is shorting out

  3. It's likely the inner and outer steering columns have become misaligned, or the insulating collar at the base of the column on the floor is dodgy. The inner column is rubbing on the outer tube, which'll make the horn bleat.

You need to make sure everything's straight. It wasn't a brilliant design (they fixed it in later busses).

  4. Will have look at both -tar!
