You'd have to cut it as the vents and the ends of the tray go in the same place.

  2. Dont want cut the vents as i am going to keep using those.

If i cut the tray ends would i need to lose the cup holders at the ends? Also does the tray need to screw in at the ends?

  3. Yes, you will lose the cup holders, and you'll have to modify it to screw it to the vent pieces. Normally it would screw into the a pillars, but because your vent ends are in the way, it won't do that. Without a screw there, it won't have the support it needs to stay in place at the end.

  4. glad I read this thread , we will have the same problem , back to the drawing board .............

To be honest, they look pony anyway.
The only ones that look remotely tidy are the bamboo and wicker ones.

Have you seen the JK ones in the flesh?

Exactly. Go white can man style. Far more stylish.

  13. Willing to not go for the plastic ones from JK but there dont seem to be many options. dont like the bamboo/wicker ones, so what else is out there?

  14. what will you put on it??

  15. if you go to machine mart and buy a profile gauge you can replicate the profile of the vent covers, box etc. and make your own from 12mm birch ply...cover it in textured vinyl (trim glue and staple job) couple of triangular brackets either end, slot for the handbrake and trim with plastic L shaped edging along the front....good project, inexpensive and rewarding result...I'd take a pic of mine but bus is in storage at the moment...

I made some brackets to support the shelf on either side of the handbrake...will try to post a pic of the template....

I was far too tight to pay the outrageous price for the mass produced ones so I made my own and used some left over vinyl to cover them.
