FOR SALE ULTRA RARE VW T2 1970's 14" ALLOYS. BEEN IN STORAGE FOR 36 YEARS!

First of all...ayup!
Secondly apologies for my 1st posts being for sale adverts....I am on various other forums but these wheels really needed to be advertised to the correct audience!

Set of 5 X ultra rare Exacton alloys that were fitted new to a late Bay Devon Moonraker in the late 70's.
The alloys were removed not long after being fitted and then put into dry storage until a couple of days ago....36 years later!!

5.5"X14"
The offset isn't stamped into the wheel but they're approx ET30
All 5 alloys are fitted with 185R14 Kleber reinforced tyres and all 5 are in excellent condition with virtually full tread depth.
The alloys themselves are in very very good condition except for a bit of light corrosion....they'll look brilliant fully polished!
I don't remember ever seeing a set like this so it's fair to say if you buy them,that no one else is going to have a set...unless someone knows different?
£395...no offers but I may take a cheaper set of alloys in part exchange if it helps the sale.
Collection preferred from near Barnsley,South Yorkshire but I will send them by courier.
I may also be able to get them to a show if paid for in advance.

How much without the tyres? 40 year old tyres won't be any good.

 

40 year old tyres....37 years actually but the tyres come free with the alloys.

If you didn't know any different you'd think the tyres had been fitted last year...there's no cracking or signs of age as they've not seen daylight since 1978.

If someone shows a 1977/78 Bay then these are the perfect wheels and tyres for that era.

Yes and still for sale on ebay....there aren't 2 sets of these for sale anywhere as far as I know.

I was hopeing to buy these for my Carols bay. . .but need the hole size to try and locate suitable sleeved nuts . . found a very nice chap in london to source them but needs lug hole dimensions to suit . . maybe you could spend the two seconds to measure them and i can then buy your wheels!!!

 

He has advertised them on gumtree and again on ebay so you should be able to track them down, good luck, I did have them in my watch list so if you can't track them let me know and I will see if I can find then

oh Thanks Ted I can find them they are advertised everywhere . . trouble is they cannot be used with normal alloy wheek studs and nuts . . . all i want off the guy selling them is a size for the lug holes . . and if i can get the nuts I will buy them . . but not if its imposible to fit them as the nuts or bolts for them are rarer than the wheels and no longer made!!!

 

Cool no worries, there are guys that will make them but I was quoted around £450
