type 4 timing - any way it could be wrong??

  1. Located the notch on the bottom pulley - about 40mm round the rim clockwise from the notch in the centre of the pulley - put a new timing scale on - timed it to 7.5deg BTDC - is there any way this could not be correct - i.e. could the pulley be on incorrectly - sure it only fits one way round, but someone has put timing marks on the pulley before I bought the bus and they are nowhere near my mark on the notch!!

    Got a picture of your engine... just gives me an idea of condition
