Type 4 inlet manifold

Help, due to put the engine back in early next week and have somehow just snapped the cast inlet manifold.

Can you still buy these original types. Have tried schofield and jk but they don't seem to be available.

Can't believe I have done it. I've come in from the garage and am about to drown my sorrows in a bottle of red

 

Try eBay or mega bug or the other vw breakers

 

I'm going to try the local vw breakers in the morning, just having a panic moment in case I can't find any. Don't really want to be upgrading them at the moment. Got to pay the body shop next week lol

 

I might have one, but there are different versions. Do you have a pic of your bust one?

 

weld it... it's cast steel, not cast iron... although that said, TIG welding it would be the best way

 

Thanks for the advice. Managed to get one from the scrap yard today.

Hopefully back on the road in the next couple of weeks. Two years is too long
