Type 4 FI engine help

  1. I need to be educated I think. The bus I got the engine from was a USA model, does that help? If not how do I identify it?

  2. Errrr, I think the dizzy is different. Cali imports also run a cat. Not sure other differences.

    Someone will know.

  3. The cat on the engine is fairly easy to spot....

  4. Hello Simon. You can blank the CAT if needed. My FI system has worked on my van for 10years faultlessly. I have carbs on my other vans but love the FI system. I have every FI part you will need if anything is at fault from injector to loom to ECU to full system. I also keep a full spare system for my van in the even of any problems. Good to see you found a van.

  5. Thanks for that, I cant wait to get started on her! I ended up falling in love with one and had to have her. I have a1600 TP type 1 to go in for moving around straight away, so Im going to make a test rig with a bell housing and starter so I can tinker with the Type 4..... At least that's the plan.

My first port of call is to get a wiring diagram to work out how to incorporate the ECU in my busses loom......... :SCRATCHES HEAD:

  6. Ill take a look as I should have a wiring diagram with FI somewhere to help.

  7. Some pics of a 'mine field' good luck
