Ideas for its uses both sensible and silly appreciated .

Attach a water pump or air compressor to it.

  4. Use it on campsites to charge your battery and power your lights and heaters - you will be very popular and draw an admiring crowd

Ok, j just read the mission statement of the tlb and my above quote remains, I am new to the whole forum culture, I would normally just read rather than post, I appreciate that the knowledge on this forum is second to none and I will be asking for a a lot of help in the future,

    Again my apologies

  11. Think nothing of it. We regularly have worse. Childish smut, innuendo - I won’t name names.

Many of our mods work from care homes - it gives them something to do during the day, which I think is worthwhile.

    A stationary engine?
Use it to make pens, envelopes, paper clips...

That's terribly polite, but I think you may be confusing TLB with another forum. This one is more... what's the word I'm looking for...

For dry humourless technical expertise Samba is the one, but it won't make you laugh...ever, it's not allowed there...I could envisage being banned there for a joke answer on a technical thread.

The Samba is full of the kind of people whose ancestors were prepared to get on a ship, travel 3000 miles then get in a horse drawn waggon and go another few thousand because they werent prepared to change their point of view.
Not suprising there are more than a few bullet-headed technicians who work to accuracies of less than a thousandth of an inch and whose sense of humour was drilled out of them in a maintenance facility on some battlefield..

Somebody once posted a cheery picture of Donald Trumps early White House team on the Samba and I was so tempted to post an edit, of those Russian style pictures, deleting all the heads until you are left with todays team, then I decided I might want to go to the USA someday again.

Its probably just as well as politics is banned from the Samba , otherwise they would have to split into a Republican (big engines, modified) VW owner and Democrat (stock OG) forums, and you would be banned from posting in the wrong section.
Actually, you are, theres a lot more thread locking for wrong forum, or asking the same question again over there..

That little engine obviously had some use for instant power , roughly equivalent to using a big Lithium battery pack and an electric motor.

Attach an alternator and sell it to a Nissan Leaf owner as a range doubler.
