sun awning. can't find any pics of the two different awnings.
re above. the roof rack is far forward on the roof - nowhere near the sun screen.
your 'proper' awnings should be handed per LHD RHD. they have a membrane that should never interfere with the door. neither of mine do.

We might be ok with the sun shade. I brought it at the beginning of this year and believe it or not hasn't seen the light of day yet !
Not sure on the awning. It uses a pole that sits in the gutter. Which allows the doors to open. It would be nice to have the chance to use it ☹
Cheers for the photos. I see you also have the best type of roof
Sorry @Faust for hijacking your thread...

If you haven’t tried the awning you are just guessing. As stated, they clamp above the sliding door, the gusset (ooer missus) goes to the left of the sliding door (on a rhd) and the bulk of the roof / material goes to the right so the sliding door can slide into it and stay in the awning. Try it. This is how it should work, the 2 bow rack should never be in the way.

We've had the awning for about 3 years and yes it's as you say so the slider opens within the roof area. But the overall length connecting to the van would interfere with a 2 bow rack. From memory my front gusset (insert snigger) comes about halfway down the passenger door

@Faust Before you commit to a roof rack, check how close both of your cab doors get to the bottom of the gutter. I've seen a few where the door scrapes the rack clamp forcing the door downwards and taking the paint off. :(

Yes it was of some concern ...and still is to a degree .
But the doors leave a gap which i would say are lower than normal .

The passenger door is deffo low as i have to lift it slightly so as it doesn't crash harshly on the striker . however i will be fitting it sometime today or tomorrow , so it maybe a grinder or one for sale never used and loose £ 80 f quid .

Knats whisker with one of the clamps ...front drivers side ...pulled it back a bit ...sorted .
Doors on my bus are really not well lined up after the work which was done by p.o .
Done by Spraytech of Cirencester they did all front doors front panel front and rear wheel arches ...and paint work .
They should be good, as i was told that Floyd drummer Nick Mason has all his classics done there .

Having said that ...the old saying, you are only as good as your last job .
