Anyone here an aficionado of the Twitter? I cant get my head around it. Just seems to be a load of folk just publishing one line with no context and then other people making comment on that. It just seems a waste of effort and unnecessary . Is it just for people with a very short attention span?? Seriously it seems to have no purpose or worth!
It's basically a replacement voice for the individual that has lost it in a sea of noise that is the modern internet. Ironically, social media hasn't helped that.
certainly not. Forums generally are great as you can discuss and get to the gist of the issue. The style of twitter explains some of the odd postings we get here. half asked questions without the information people need to be able to advise and then several pages of other trying to drag out the information from the OP. It seems to be simply for people to make a statement without challenge or to say "look at me". I get now why Trump put so much store in it!
I was being a bit tongue in cheek, if you hadn't noticed ! It's interesting to guage people's reactions, sometimes. In general I agree with you, as you say even on here, it does very much depend on who is posting what. PS Trump is narcissistic, he doesn't count.
It’s very much like anywhere else really, as in, plenty of bell ends shouting a lot of plums, but you can choose who you listen to, and block anyone you don’t like, which is most people in my case! I mainly only follow car people, and wildlife / photography shizzle.
Any medium that attracts professional footballers and influencers is best avoided. You'd be better off going out the garden and shouting into your dustbin. Except for following Gary Lineker. Gary knows about everything.
I spend time on Instagram reporting reels posted from Asia that consist of sharks eating whales eating jumbo jets - I usually select the 'its false information' option........
We use a similar one for work cannot turn it off either. Utter fail. It's now full of department heads just shouting louder to get attention I'm not sure when they do any work but they love talking about it.
Probably not. I don’t know you, but I have noticed you are fairly easy to draw into an argument, so best to avoid Twitter I would say!
Your (longer) posts are like the ones I type to get something off my chest, then think.. nah... and hit the back button without posting them... usually. As I was married for 25 years I'm well trained in anything I think "important" being largely ignored.
That's funny.... I did think you had a new significant other in your life, Zed? Did I misunderstand? Or is it just married life that didn't agree
