twin carb linkage, missing parts? help!!!

Hi all,
I'm in need of help from those in the know....I have attached a schematic picture showing the parts that are missing on my bus( 77 westy ) i've circled them in red.

its a spring and a cup of some sort - i think.
They help hold the linkage bar in place , sort of keeping it in tension.....i think. They were missing, so I dont have a clue what to get, or from where?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pretty sure that you can get a new cup and spring from either vw heritage or JK

yes ordered the spring last night , just hoping it;s the right part, hmmmmm no sign of the cup!

 

Peeps don't know they are there, wander roung the garden gayly swinging it about and...

I used a washer behind a short length of 15mm copper pipe. Insert the spring, then the washer, then the pipe. The ball should fit snugly into the copper pipe. It was a couple of years ago now so you may want to check and still going ok.

 

Sorry I sent the above before I'd finished. What I meant to add was that I think it was 15mm pipe, it may have been smaller. Try it and see.

 

I run without the springs with the end plates just bent in slightly so the linkage doesn't fall out. No drama. :-[
