Top tips for getting brake pipes released from master cylinder?

  1. Hi all
    just in the process of swapping my leaking brakw master cylinder but struggling to get the brake pipes released.
    Is there any tips to help ? Feels like they are solid and dont want to snap them. I have WD 40'd them but stiill not budging
    Cheers in advance for any words of wisdom
     
  2. If you cannot get them off ,no doubt they need replacing ,cut them and get the mole grips on em...

  3. Yep, what LEF said^. Sometimes the ferrule's corroded to the pipe, so the pipe comes off like a bit of twirly pasta. Brace yourself for replacing some of them.

  4. Brakepipe spanner?

    Failing that, then as above... Cut them, but get a 6 sided socket on them, opposed to the more common 12 point socket!! :thumbsup:
