Today is also Guess The Christmas Bin Collection Day

Our local council send out a list every year, which can handily hang on a cupboard door handle. They have also been posting on Facebook to remind people of the double collection (recycling and refuse) on Tuesday 2nd - they normally alternate each week

 

I just chuck stuff over the fence.

 

I don't create waste. I just buy loose Quinoa by the pocketful, and take a bucket to fill up with vegan wine. It is a bit tricky carrying it home on my Penny Farthing, but worth it for the smugness points it accrues.

I don't understand how anyone can be so disorganised and then moan about it. We get a little chart from the bin men showing when to put the various bins out, or it can be looked up online. Our bin was collected first thing this morning ... I was so organised not only did I put my own bin out yesterday afternoon, as our neighbours were away I also put their bin out for them.

 

Last year, our stupid council forgot to put the bank holiday rearrangements on their calendar.

If there's the slightest chance of a frost, there's no point in putting the bins out as they don't dare reverse their wagon down the untreated track to the station.

Isn't it a relief when you move house from somewhere where you had lovely neighbours, to somewhere else as we did last year, to find our new neighbours were equally as lovely. We help each other with our bins too

 

Are they swingers ?

 

It starts with bins, then things move 'indoors' - they start emptying each others recycling........

 

Indeed it is. Just makes the world a nicer place to live when you have helpful and not moaning neighbours. Clearly some people aren't so lucky.

 

Check what the pensioners have put out and when. 100% reliable.

But pensioners don't throw anything away, they just put their empty bins out - it doesnt matter if they get collected or not.

 

If my neighbour came in my garden and put my bins out I'd knock his bloody block off.
