Thermals and thick socks, wellies (camping field can be muddy) and a hot water bottle and you'll be fine.

 

When we went last week, the hardstanding backs directly onto someones house, there is a very tall wall but apparently they complain on a regular basis about noise.

The un-official wardens said, 'But you'll be quiet by 11 won't you?'

here's hoping the wind is blowing in a direction that takes the noise away from them!

 

We will be going regardless of the weather - just without a gazebo if it's windy. (We're not camping over)

 

Yeah what the Wilmas say is correct plus theres not much room as there are some stored caravans and motorhomes plus its a bit messy ,wouldnt really want to pitch there

 

I finish work at 17:00 and will be already packed so hope to arrive at about 19:00.

 

so i'm guessing i'll be 1st in then, shall i go for grass and far away or what? no point saying we will be quiet by 11 if we are on the hardstanding, plus if the fire is smoky too we don't want to annoy the neighbours.

 

If your 1st there I'd go for grass and top of field as it slopes down and can be boggy at the bottom.
Save me a place and hook up near to you.

i don't think we will have to fight for pitches....i predict me 1st wilmas you and marky in that order.....i've tried ringing three times to book in but no answer.

ok just spoke to him, he says it's pretty boggy but not to worry about the neighbours..... he wants me to ring him when i'm close by to meet and discuss where to go so i'll make the call and hopefully you'll all agree.

:arrggh: Julie went to get Wilma out today and dead battery (again!) she was out 2 weekends ago and had a great run out, a trial camp to Belmont Hall and a good meandering journey back. Battery now on charge so fingers crossed,

not a prob we'll come in the beetle :arrggh: it's in the garage having the shocks done

we will be there but might not be camping Friday night,

if the battery's sparky we will be camping, if not we'll be in beetle (supposing it's fixed) at Tatton on the Saturday

 

fingers crossed the battery charges ladies, we need a bit of grown up help when camping
