I have no intention of offending anyone by missing people out. I love too many of you people. (yes that is the cowards way out!)

Just a quick call to apologise for not being around - been a bit manic since the Mrs passed away in December. Just had a short break away skiing and found this lovely note inside Bodhi which some young admiring blonde must have slipped under the windscreen when Tom (my eldest) was out and about in Bodhi somewhere. TLB recruitment at its finest! Love the smiliy too! Cheers Tiny-Pie!

I feel like I have been welcomed with open arms even though I don't really know or have met any of you but I am looking forward to meeting up during the year if you will have me!

 

Farrantini you get out what you put in. Get involved, post on the forum, go camping, go to shows, whatever. Look at me I'm 12,000 miles away, never met anyone on here face to face but I like to think I make some difference & occasionally post something that may be of use or interest.

 

got to say a huge thank you to grub for being selfless enough to let me swap the wheels i didnt want for his wheels that i did want, when he didnt have to. Im soo much happier with my wheels now,

suits my van soo much better, its the first alteration Ive actually done to him in the year we've had him, and he really feels like ours now

plan it to lower it slightly when funds allow but for now... LOVE IT!!

Jan and I have met lovely people at the various meets over the years.

I don't know if he's still on here but I'd like to thank lost-en-france for sending me (free) a carburetter float all the way from that there France. I hope he's looking after the coasters I sent him. While I was waiting for the post to come Silver stepped in and lent me a float to keep me on the road. Thanks mate.

 

to agree with the words of many, i have received nothing but support, help and kind words from all!

although special mention would have to go to zed, icepug and Baysearcher.

these three have made/are making my transition into bus ownership a much easier, happier and knowledge filled experience!
so thanks for that!

I travelled from Bristol to Chipping Norton today to meet up with Top Banana Racing he gifted me a set of steels with tyres and hub caps and wouldn't take anything for them. He's a thoroughly nice bloke

What a nice thread - it truly reinforces the VW community spirit to hear of people doing good turns for each other. I'd like to say thanks to everybody for being welcoming to the forum and for bits of advice & tips received so far .
