TLB Member Appreciation Thread

I don't think this person is on here now as he's more involved with Aeroplanes than bread shaped vans but a big up goes to VWfish (Doug) ex mobile mechanic and all round good egg.

 

Has to be Majorhangover and Mrs Majorhangover, the first people we met at JK open day.
They convinced us to come over from The Dark Side and also to join them for TLB Xmas drinks.
Can't wait to meet more of you if you're even half as good as them.

Made us feel very welcome at Camperjam before we had even parked up properly, was just what we needed as we were quite nervous about camping in the TLB camping area without having met anyone.

Made the effort to come and talk to us on our pitch, again at CJ. Saved us from having to jump in at the deep end with a large group of strangers. Made it easier for us to meet people. All very nice people.

Majorhangover has a similar sense of humour to me and I like most of his posts.

poptop2 puts a lot into the forum, which benefits everyone. Even if most of it is complete b******s.

I hope that any TLB members that have not met all the people that I have tagged get the chance to meet them at a show or camp and find out exactly why I have mentioned them all in this thread.

I've been on here for a year now and theres far too many people that deserve a mention. Everyone of them has made a contribution to TLB, either by way of moderating the boards, offering advice (personal or van related), or just been funny when it was needed. I am a forum member on several boards (not VW related) and this is by far the most civilised and friendly and active place that I hang around.

Being on here is like all of our own personal relationships - sometimes its smooth and easy going, sometimes it gets a bit messy and we dont get on, sometimes we make each other laugh and sometimes all we want is for someone to listen to us - whether it be van related, perosonal issues or in my case, what animal can do the most damage to your van.

I've only met one TLBer (baghead) at Elemental last year and thoroughly decent being he is too. Hoping to meet some more of you this year.

 

I've been on here a little while, obviously not as long as some but have to say that I've spoken to some great people! Have to mention zed who came down and helped me out for the day and took the proverbial out of my bus, I'm sure there were some good points lol. Then Silver who has been a legend with spares and advice, more commonly takin the ******* also haha! I've spoken to loads of you on here and by phone, PIE who was also great for parts and advice along with rickyrooo1 who happily decided to rename me! All TLB have kept me going, inspired me to get the work done at a fraction of the cost it would've been to just have my bus into a workshop then returned! Atleast whilst out and about, well eventually, I can be happy with the fact that 'I did this!'

Here is a big pile of hugs just help yourself .just make sure you only take one and get the right size .male hugs are quick ,female hugs take a bit longer . Everyone I've met has been great .

There are many many many people who have enjoyed Wong with from TLB. One has endured the displeased look over the glasses followed by thee bad "ohhh" but all in all this group are great and are quite an open clique welcoming all because it's a TLB clique. xxx

And can I have my thing back please mods.
