tiny and stephen get there first project and its a 20 millionth edition

    it's good stuff though, been using it on my MG for years and makes taking things apart so much easier the second time ;D

    You and the boys have nearly finished this resto in the time its taken me to get mine into the paint shop lol
     
  2. lol i no diddy , i am a great beliver in cooper grease , make life easy as u say second time round, and that i do , i coat every nut bolt screw in it fit it then take it of again recoat and refitt , time well spent , i wish more peole done it especially when fitting doors engine lids ect CHEERS OWEN NW

  8. to day colm and me started on stripping down the tin wear of the engine ill refurbish it all then the engines going down to caddy for an inspection and check over , so then we replaced the wings with new wing beading all round , one wing has to come off again as i can t get one bolt in , owen nw

  9. we got the tin wear all stripped and a couple of coats of red 2k paint on them the alternator was done in matt , for bit of a contrast , i then took the chassis and engine down to a friend to have the motor checked over , so he s going to stripp it and see if it needs anything , he thinks it might have a bent valve or more so wel wait and see owen nw

  10. well it turns out the engine was fecked well and truley fecked , so a rebuild was in order , it s got a relne bore new crank and bearing s 2 pistons pots and what ever it needs , blood thing but when it done i no its done right thanks to dave the engine builder IE CADDY owen nw
     
  11. to day i done 2 small repairs to the exhaust and 1 on one of the heat exchangers, then descaled them followed with a couple of coats of zinc primer , then brushed the bumpers with thinners to lift the silver paint some one had sprayed on , they came up quite well , i them used some chrome cleaner and buffed them owen nw

    the tax book in his name not bad aged 4

  14. engine now back from builders
    its had replacement crank
    reline bored case
    main bearing
    big end bearing
    pushrod tubes and seals , new rings on 2 pistons
    heads checked 100%
    good 2nd hand replacement tin wear
    replacement manifold
    replacement carb
    oil light switch

    and full check over and tuned ,

    now refitted ,

    foot brake pedal still was abit stiff after i freed it up, so of again , i heated it up red hot and let it cool a couple of times , the last time i dropped it in cold water , and now its free as a bird and works well ,

    need one of the kits that work the heater on the heat exchanger , have the lever on the xchanger its the swivel bit and the bit the wire goes into any one got one
