The awning is bolted to the multi rail so you can't use that but if you wind the awning out a few inches there's a slot to slide a kador strip into then connect to your awning with a fig 8!

Agreed, and in no way slating robos van but you think vw would cater for all markets, a brand new one of these California's can be over 55 grand, some campsites will make you drive in to a bay "the wrong way" just so your awning is on the correct side, let alone the slider opens onto the main road which is uncool if you have kids, that said the brazzy bay is the same.

 

It's my only negative about the van.... Me = stupid woman getting out to open the slider on my side... 1 it's electric and 2 it's no longer on my side!

 

As I say I think it's ace, can't wait to see but vw are missing a trick it surely must have put some people off ? And as you know it's a massive investment!

That's a girl thing, I got the opposite now, my bay door was on the right side my t5 on left - it's going to feel wrong sleeping with the door and units plus awning "the other side"

That's more or less exactly the same as mine but you need a metal snap clamp thingy in the middle on that

 

Yes both you and Rick need one I still feel like I need more on mine so I really don't know how you two cope without a proper clamp
