Time to come out the closet & introduce you all to the new Robowagen - Alfie

You age well.... Looking hot Robo

 

We've had a busy few months with this & that but no camping . I use Alfie every day for work, shopping & pretty much everything!

Went mad the other week on some mods & fitted some dubflecta things, they stop water dripping into the van when driving!



We are still keen on the Fatface sort of theme we started on Molly & found a guy that 3D prints replacement VW badges & got him to do this to replace our rear badge



Bought some rattle cans & had a play today, I'm not very good at this sort of thing but had a crack at it, first a layer of plastic filler primer stuff & a sanding to loose the grain



Then on with some white, flatted that back & then added more



I've then gone over this with black, the plan is to sand back the logo face to reveal the white not sure how this will turn out but don't want a crisp line & want it to look like it's been worn away, I'm letting the black dry overnight

Tomorrow I'm transporting Katie & two of her friends complete with bikes to a mountain bike trail thingy with the guides!

Just put a coat of laquer on, it's no way near perfect but looks pretty cool from a distance

Finishing work at lunchtime tomorrow, home to pack the van & we're heading South for the bank holiday!

We have an idea of where we want to go but have booked nothing, wish us luck!

Have a brilliant trip you lot.
You probably already know but if you have trouble finding a campsite with a spare space you can generally just turn up at one in the early evening and they can usually they find you a space where a pre booked. Person hasn't turned up.

 

We booked the time off & said we wanted to go Cornwall but by not booking any sites we could chase the weather if it all went like last weekend!

Happy with no sites & hoping that for the 4 nights were away were hoping to only have to spend one night on a site to enable one chance to shower

Ahh! If it's just showers you're after then find a local swimming pool and have a family swim as well.

 

Had read about someone doing that, cheeky but a great idea

It seems that the whole world are camping this weekend. Virtually every site is booked in Dorset and Hampshire. Not sure about Cornwall though! Wild camping maybe the answer
