I was sorting out the van yesterday afternoon and this old Jamaican with a massive dreadlock hat approached me with a big smile on his face and said in a heavy West Indian accent, "that's your pride and joy isn't it? I see you working on it all the time. Your pride and joy!" and then was gone without giving me a chance to reply! It was beautifully warm and the sun was shining. For a few brief moments I felt I was in the Caribbean. It made my day! Has anyone else had nice comments from strangers?
yeah - I have had quite a few people come up to me in the past to talk about Pinky .... There was one guy however who once said 'lovely van ... shame it's pink' ........ I then asked him what was wrong with it being pink and he did not have a response
It's girly, simples. I've not had any nice comments from randoms as yet, but in fairness it has looked like an old dog.
You see - I dont think that it being Pink does make it 'girly' .... but maybe thats because it is my van
Two separate couples have approached me and asked to hire my van out or asked where I hired it from. Then commented on how nice it looks. Normally you get the odd person say that they used to have one, or their parents had one. Pink is girly.
Plenty of white stuff, can't go wrong with that. I'll see if the missis will give you some stuff from the millions of bags of baby clothes we have in the loft.
Oi u lot leave marowak alone there's nothing wrong with having a pink bus, my girls would love a pink bus and dale winton used to have one! lol Could be poo colour ehh rickyroo All joking aside I think pinky is cool
We had a french faimily ( parents and 3 kids ) climb aboard for a good look and then fotos outside with us , while at a french campsite .
Used the bus to take an old mattress to the tip - man in the booth at the entrance: "If you don't mind me asking, how much would I have to spend to get one of those?"
Ha no nice comments from my neighbors! The old git says my bus being parked on the drive depreciates the value of his house. ;D
A nice lady in the petrol station said: 'That's a nice happy looking van you have there' I still had to pay though
