  2. i hadn't worked the total out before... but where curtains are lined this will be doubled, then you've got the cost of the main and lining fabric.
i'm amazed at how much fabric costs, the beach/ticking stripe ones i have are from a roll i used for a home project a few years ago but now sells at £15.99 per metre!

it does all add up, not sure how it can add up to £400+ but then i've never added mine up properly

  3. I've just looked at the quote and that's not the measurements I have them
I got the measurements online and they've basically added the measurements up and doubled them! Doh! Anyway I'll have a look at the above posts and get my mum to do them I reckon. Thanks again:thumbsup:

  4. they may have doubled them if you wanted them 'self-lined' i.e. the fabric pattern on both sides? then if you requested a lining they may have thought an 'interlining'? dunno, but domestic curtains are massively different as you're working to, in the main, to add bulk. not what you want for camper curtains.

  5. Thanks @Ermintrude, just had a look at your thread, do you have the grey ones still. The material I looked at was gilpin grey stripe, seems a heavier material but wanted them lined really? Do you have anything like this in your stock?

  6. i do still have the grey but unfortunately they're not lined. atm i'm between homes and have nowhere to sew and have very little fabric left. will *swap curtains for wiring, plastering, plumbing or labouring once i'm in my new house :D

(*yes, i know it's a Marmite deal. curtains are worth far more :p)
