Maybe if you're always coming across a bunch of losers it's because you're looking for a reason to get upset about something.

I have received nothing but good from people here, I've made some very good friends and many of the members have generously donated things to others just to help out.

It reminds me of a story my Dad told me.

"An old man was walking along a dusty road from London to Birmingham. He met a young man going the other way who asked him what the people were like in London. The old man asked about the people in Birmingham, the town the young man had just come from. "Horrible, mean and nasty people" he replied. "Yes" said the old man, "they're just the same in London".
A little later another young man came along and also asked about the people in London. Again the old man asked him to describe his feelings about the people in his old town. "Lovely people, friendly and helpful, lots of fun and kind and considerate. "You're in luck" replied the old man "London is full of lovely people as well".
The old man's companion asked how both answers could be correct and the old man replied that if you look for the worst in people you'll find it just as if you look for the good you'll find that as well.

I'd need to be sure before I made such a comment.

 

I just read what I put, I hope it makes sense, I really like this site, I read what Dog put on few days ago about keeping it clean etc, I fully respect it, it's a pleasure to go on this forum and not face bad language and animosity. I genuinely feel it's an honest open site with friendly banter with folk you have never met, ....

 

I recently bought my very first bay , 1979 devon moonraker I joined this site for advice , friendly banter and the love of my vw bus , and believe me it needs much love ...
I do hope I have not joined a site of nasty bully boys ... Arh well we shall see

 

Water under bridge old bean, but I do post about 1 post a year if I see what IMO is a load of crap on a safety issue being quoted as gospel.

 

Just give them your pocket money when they ask and you'll be fine.

 

I do agree zed , a for sale add should b truthful and advertise you item as honestly as poss !
If it's not then mods should address this and speak to the seller ASAP

It's just a few that's all and it's a shame for the rest

 

Ive just read that thread and my take on it is what a nice bunch we are The vast majority defended the poster and even the ones accused sorted out there "misunderstandings" kissed and made up

 

we cant all be beautiful but beauty is skin deep just my skin is thicker than you realise and does anyone know where i can get some genuine west a failer air cheap please ?
