    I know people say this is not real and most of us will never actually meet in person , but it does feel as if you are all my friends, i know for instance that now my bank account is empty you will probably all have a whip round for me, that's the sort of caring sharing people you all are, I love you all

    When I joined, I knew nothing about buses apart from the fact that the engine is at the back. (It is, isn't it?).

    Now, I have learnt so much from this forum that I am almost capable of checking the oil level even if I don't know what oil to top up with.

    I also like the banter, the humour, the political argie bargy and the occasional fight!

    It's like being in the pub without having to buy a round!

    Can't answer for everyone but this forum for me is a kind of refuge/ sanctuary, a place to connect. it's a place for serious discussions or comforting banter.
    Without Techenders and not actually connecting with like minded people this forum would not work as well as it does

    Techenders has taken off again 'because' of this forum IMO.

    TLB has been like this from day one, I may even venture to say it was better than this 5 years ago, the banter and off the wall humour was par excellence nearly all the time:)

    We had a whip round for a guy on the mig welding forum last Xmas..
    His dad had died and he was raising the kids..
    Turned out to be complete bullMarmite...:confused:
    Some one did some checks and he was a long term serial liar..:mad:

    I've looked on other non-vw forums when I've needed answers to specific questions and I've never come across one that made me want to sign up, so this is the only place I come. Whenever we meet up with TLB folk we always know that we are going to spend a lot of the time laughing. Roll on Dubfreeze :chewie:
