I can give other places FB etc a wide berth, but keep coming back to this place and don't even own a bay any longer! Why?

Having never been a member of a forum before, when I was looking to buy a camper I joined Vzi (on the recommendation of a chap at work who'd had a beach-buggy for a while), plus here and 'early'.
Pretty quickly I realised which forum I actually wanted to stick around on - although the camper I eventually bought came through a message on Early - and I haven't been back to the others since.
I'm not in a hurry to join anywhere else for any of my other interests, so it must be something about here and you lot that makes me keep checking in when I really should be doing other, much more productive things with my time..... !

This is by far the friendliest vw forum that I've been a member! Much better SOH too, not like vzi where folk are always falling out

It was the first Just Kampers forum that got me into foruming... although it took me a long time to find TLB for some reason. I am on many forums, but mainly post here nowadays. :)

  16. Done car based forums for 15 yrs,
moderated on one...not an easy task,
A few of em have gone..:(

All I've used have been informative, and good laughs, meet hundreds of sound folk through them, :)
    and a few unsound..:D
You see a lot of different human traits..

Beats watching twots dancing, soaps, X factor type stuff..etc etc
It's nice to ask something, and in an hour have a dozen opinions,

  18. For the craic, no-one really knows you but is comfortable in your company (sometimes) & can say basically what they want to you without fear of recrimination. Informative & interesting threads. Cheaperish parts, but most of all for the craic.

I come here as my actual life is pitiful and being a largish bloke I feel compelled to fill the void with the sheer might that being a mod gives.

Imagine minions, the elemental power that moderation gives you....it's like living as a God!

Just yesterday I deleted a duplicate posting....that citizen of webland may well have lived with the curse of saying the same thing twice, forever! Thank god for me.

Of course with great power comes great responsibility.

It utterly corrupts my ability to think for myself, as I'm assimilated into the hive mind of TLB.

Of course other outlets are available but I've got used to the power and fear, and I might not survive swimming in the pond filled with pure IQ, Wit and vim such is their majesty.

    Knob shot to follow.
