roads are so much faster nowadays and too many loons not paying attention to the little old bay trying to overtake that big arse truck
I'd agree the Subaru conversion resolves one issue, in addition to the safety issues, the doors still rattle and its still a draughty old van.
thats so funny bud ive had a few bays and when last one went i said never again thats it for me ! then i got stuck behind a pale blue one 2 years ago going up hill of all things but still it pulled me back into to the world of old dubs theres defiantly some thing about them
You said you have a T4 as well as your lovely Bay and you have had other Bays before and keep coming back to them which is understandable. I think as others have said, leave your decision until next Spring as I get the impression that at this point in time you are undecided and selling in the winter you would be unlikely to get the proper price.
I think he's selling, well the interior is for sale, in all but name, in the "Show us your Ride" section. Edit. It's now "officially " for sale.
I made the interior in lockdown bud and hoping to sell it and make another as im bored at home at moment think the van will stay until spring
I think it is up to you to keep or sell. We have done quite a few long trips in the bus,and have done runs of up to 500 miles in a day (Cologne to Southampton) More usually aiming at 150-250 miles a day. Then you have time to relax. Our bus is fast enough to overtake trucks, has not broken down on long trips. I have the attitude that all the time its the rear bumper getting the slight dents, going a bit slower is working.
There’s always someone looking to buy regardless of the weather or situation. But if you want the most return then yes spring is the time to sell. if you enjoy camping in such a small Space but long distance journeys are the issue then if it was me I’d sell up and buy something modern.
I would definitely keep although looking at that interior, you are a talented man who could have another project and keep another bus on the road
So true about the sun coming out and instantly falling back in love. I finally sold and really miss mine, esp. this year. But I’ve saved the dosh and when I have more time to travel, am going to buy a newer one.
