  1. That doesn't seem unreasonable to me. I do want public services properly funded and it seems a progressive way of doing it.

A massive hike in tax for a lot of people sounds pretty unreasonable to me.

  3. fair enough. it isn't a massive hike for me though living in a shoe box int middle o't road!!

  4. and after all "property is theft!"

  5. That's not a fair way of doing it - the value of houses doesn't generate a need for services, people do. Why should my old mum who lives off her well earned pension and draws relatively little from the state, pay the same as the identical house next door with five people living in it. Its like road tax, should be based on usage, not a sledgehammer calculation.

  9. It seems a way of creating a north south divide.

Well mine would go up 880% ... of course that gets my vote ...

It did make me laugh that the "truly independent" site I linked to up there ^^^ exclaimed that anyone living in a £110k house would actually see their tax drop.
You can't buy a 1 bed flat for less than double that down here.

  11. As you read down your independent article you can see some issues with this policy one being 3% on landlords of buy to let property but rent caps to prevent them getting much back through higher rents.

In some respects its another old versus young policy with young private seemingly set to gain and older homeowners will lose out.

Bristol is currently crying into its collective organic quinoa:
JC has just binned off a rally in town tonight, in favour of a live TV debate.
    Its an outrage.

Jeremy Corbyn has been £20,000 to appear five times on the Iranian regime’s propaganda channel, which was banned in the UK for its role in filming the torture of journalists who spoke out against their government
I hope he gives that up if he gets to be prime minister

  14. I'm quite surprised people still think Tory are better handling the economy then Labour. The last run was due to a global collapse, if labour were important enough to cause that we should be trying to get them back in.

Immigration - tories still saying 10s thousands net immigration. The only wau they can do that is if the skilled and mobile UK folks leave in there droves.

Plus the tories have no manifesto at all, it is a pamphlet. Why would any sane person vote for a party that can't be arsed to cost a manifesto.

Also given that she deems her leadership strong and stable. Yet isn't strong nor stable enough to debate live - puts all the votes to greens, labour or lib dems. Surely!!

  15. Theresa won't appear on the UKs state media service (the Beeb) for any money at all. We all know why, she would be eaten alive.

Tough Brexit lady ha ha ha!

  16. where do you get this stuff?

  17. Mrs t tried that. Instead of paying your tax based on the value of your house, you paid tax based on the number of people in a house, as she figured a household with more people generates more rubbish etc than a single person household. She called it the pole tax and from memory it didn't end that well.
