Copper should be sacked and charged with ABH, as said up there^ A taser should only be a last resort, that fact that this idiot used it against an old man, without cause proves he's not fit to carry one.

I would hazard a guess that they will receive a mild reprimand at most and that there will be insufficient evidence for a prosecution / prosecution would not be in the public interest / evidence will have disappeared during the investigation.

Have they lowered the bar for entry to join Plod? I know that they were never brain surgeon material, but it seems that Tasering someone for carrying a white stick is particularly stupid. How can anyone with such a lack of basic intelligence be allowed to attempt to solve crimes / protect the public?

If it wasn't so serious it would almost make an ad for Specsavers. Maybe the IPC report will go some way to explaining how it came about.

I don't believe a police officer would let of there weapon for no reason after all its there job on the line if its wrong.


Personal if a police officer identifies them-self clearly and and you decided not to follow there instruction then you deserve what you get.
