  1. The carding shed at Holmfirth .anyone ever been ?
    its a vintage cafe and garage with cars and vintage tat..were calling in next week on our way to York

    They still do Summer Wine tours in the old bus. Best thing about Holmfirth (apart from the roads out:)) are the bands they get at the old cinema :thumbsup:.

  15. Probably before the days of having decent turns in the cinema , more than likely t`was a bingo hall !
    Only been a couple of times but stayed at the campsite which was pretty good .
    Visited the postcard museum , Compos` caff and Walked the moors - a grand day out , i`m easily pleased :thumbsup:

  18. In Barnsley, it's still 1952. Still, at least they have running water now. Some houses even have "The Electric".
