Don't be nervous, it's very friendly and if you knew what you were doing there wouldn't be much point coming unless you wanted to pass on the "knowledge". :)

And contrary to what you might read into the posts, we don't all know each other really.

zed speaketh truth, last techenders i knew 3 people before i went, someone will always help or pass on bits of knowledge, look forward to it and you'll enjoy it.

trust me, you can be who or what you want at this gig, last time even people who changed bulbs were happy, one lad was so exited to change his own oil too, whatever you want to do, work/watch/ask nobody will judge your limitations, i use it as a bit of back up, i can do most stuff but sometimes i just feel more confident when someone's watching.

I'm sure we can look at all that. My brakes take some pedal pressing as well, but it's surprising how hard you can brake if you have to. If you have a servo there may be a problem we can identify.

  18. rob is coming if only to pick up the video that rickyrooo1 is giving us :) + i've filled the house with overnight guests so he has to come there won't be room here :)

  19. [quote author=Ermintrude link=topic=16023.msg258975#msg258975 and for someone to have a go in it and tell me if its ok or if not, what needs doing - i've only ever driven the bug to compare it to and it all feels lots more 'loose'.
i'm constntly worried about the brakes as they seem terrible but passed mot t'other week and mechanic says "that's the way they are".
just bits of stuff really. i think, i hope... who knows? not me! :D

I'll have a bash in yours and you can have a bash in mine - I was only saying at the weekend that you just make assumptions as generally people don't drive other vans for comparison. For example, it was a complete revelation when I got the new gearbox fitted and it reduced the noise in the cab by 75% - I had just always thought that's how they were
