Paulcalf, parked opposite me this time. Big T1 engine.
It wasn't Pauls bus Steve, he blew us away on the way home!! That one going to Techenders was a yellow bay on a J plate!
Mind you, I do see a pattern forming..good job Ive done a bit on the motor tonight
Yep that was me - 100% air cooled! Sorry I couldn't convoy with you but i needed to get back to sunny Sheffiield.
No idea who the yellow J plate bay is, didn't see them.
I did take a few photos, but they are rubbish so won't add much to this thread.
Great weekend, great people!
either it's an art shot or you couldn't be bothered to stand up?
one of my pics from Techenders...
that truck was Badass
Imagine driving that across America, no sleeper cab, no air con!!!!
They were made of hard stuff those boys.
Its the sort of thing Gas Monkeys Garage would roll
I wonder where it's mate went??
Do you reckon they are pre war?
Got to be early 50s haven't they?
Does Eddy still have the Yankee motor gathering? That was quite cool when TE coincided with it.
1946...that's amazing that they are nearly 70 year old!!
The guy who imports them has a split and works for Mclaren f1
There were 3 there a couple of months ago..
He is putting modern running gear into the chassies
The yank club went elsewhere ,
when they were offered a free venue..their committee was a bunch of freeloaders...
The club numbers sank and they only get a few cars to the shows..45 ish ..
At Eddys they had 300 one year..
Where were they? I never saw them
They used to be in the top field, with a big marquee and some merchandise stalls. Think the last time I saw them was when we had Tony (splitty owner)'s Tiki bar in the Techenders marquee. 3 or 4 years ago maybe?
the single one was parked just by the side of the bar facing the woodyard
Or do you mean those two trucks? In which case ignore me tuesday_wildchild
The trucks, I don't recall seeing
the fact that it was near the bar *may* have something to do with your impaired memory
