Its very "cloudy with a chance of meatballs" here today ! but, it was sunny, and its sunny again now.............great apart from the torrential downpour in between.........looking ok for TE me thinks

Solar pannels is strapped to the roof and was drawing 14v but now only 7v as the drinks are chilling ;D

is anyone up for helping me fit the electronic ignition thingy and trying to stop my washer stalk dropping water on the carpet from under the steering wheel? these are a couple of the jobs i want to do, i know naff all about points and timing so i left the electronic thing in the packet, and it looks to me like the washer thing requires the removal of the steering wheel? all the other jobs i have planned i'm pretty confident i can do.

 

cheers daz, there are some jobs i need to do in importance of being an mot requirement and some luxury ones, the ignition is in the luxury band, a full list of what i want to do is...
For Mot.
change ball joint gaiter front nearside
change front brake flexi hoses
fix washer leak
Luxury
plugs/coil/ electronic ignition
learn how to check the timing and fit/set points if the electronic ignition fails.

 

If anyone is jaking up the weekend remember you'll need a firm base or risk sinking.


I will bring my 3ton low rider jack for you to borrow if needed.

 

i have packed two thick wooden boards to put my jack on as i wondered if the floor would be boggy, i must admit i'm not keen on messing with brakes in a field incase summat shears but the mot man advised 10 months ago to get the hoses changed so i think i've probably left it long enough...

 

My mate's son is using the bus for transporting the bridesmaids at his wedding tomorrow so I'll be getting down as soon as I get the wedding ribbons off. I hope they all wrap up warm as it's freezing in my bus. I've not got anything in particular I need to do on my bus at Techenders but am looking forward to seeing jobs getting done as I am also very new to all this, and could do with raising my knowledge level.

 

I only really have a few little jobs this weekend so can lend my time to whoever has more beer

I just want to get the sliding door sliding, replace the passenger window winder and get someone to show me how to wire in the leisure battery (its all connected as a kit but dont like playing with electrics me)

What time is everyone planning on getting there, I am setting off same time as last time and if it takes me 10 bloody hours again, I'm coming straight home.

 

me and moley76 and possibly harryankle will be there by noon friday, leisure battery wiring i can help with, electrics i love, fiddly engine parts i don't .

 

I will bring LOTS of beer and will need some help so this could work out good dubster!
