So the time has come to tax my bus for the first time (since I've owned her) On the V5 it says historic vehicle, do I still need to prove that she was made in 1972 and registered on the 04/04/1973 to be able to receive the free tax. I've been looking on the dvla website but it's not that clear Cheers
If it says historic vehicle you probably wont have to pay, why dont you just go through the process of applying for a tax disk on the DVLA web site and see if they try to charge you or not, then you can take the approropriate action
you only prove its age when obtaining historic vehehicle registration class. once its on the V5C thats all you need, it remains in that tax class so just apply for a new disc, do it online as you get free tax delivered to your door for free too
I tried on line this morning but my insurance isn't in the database yet so it doesn't tell you anything.
why havent you got the reminder? it will tell you on there, once historic it's free, you'll not have to pay unless the government change the rules
