Taking rear window out....

  1. What is the easiest & safest way to take out the rear window of the bus? I have a new seal & want to get it sorted before the winter really sets in!

  5. ;D Banter.... Cheers for nothing Sandy!

So run the stanley knife around the glass between the window and the seal?

Will the window /seal then just fall out into my hands?

  6. yep should do get ready to catch the glass or spport it as you go.. :) were did you get the seal from..

  7. Might be worth cutting it out from the inside by cutting off the lip. It's quicker and neater doing it from the outside but if you're not careful you can plunge the blade in too far and score the paint.

  8. I did all mine from the outside.

Top tip: get the new seal first and check out the fit/shape so you know how its supposed to go back on. Otherwise you end up with the windscreen rubber inside out!

P.S. if there is any surface rust on the surround, get it treated.
