I think the WO codes are 8.2 ? A low pressure turbo wouldn't go a miss tho and those carbs originally came of a turbo engine as I swoped all the bits out ... Although it's easy to say it .... 99.9 % of people would be more than happy with your current motor ....
It's all about running cool at speed and accelerating smartly and quietly IMO. Rob and I discussed cams at length on many occasions, but we both felt we liked the all round torquey nature of the standard one. Having previously added lift (ratio rockets) to a 2l T1, it did noticeably perk it up, but I really did want to leave a bit in the tank.
Are you certain about that? I've not got the laptop open, but one engine ran 8.4, maybe a little more... I'll have to check
yep mines only 102hp 1968cc although i suspect being diesel it's more tourquey, the same engine is used through the range at 84/102/140/180 bhp the ecu just decides which one you have, remapping is common most go for around 160hp and mega tourque.
