Supply and demand. Danbury Brazilians won't help

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Baydreams, Apr 30, 2012.

  1. Surely, with a few hundred (I don't know the exact number) Brazilian Bays being imported and converted by Danbury every year, that'll have a negative effect on Real / Classic / 1970s Late Bay valuations?

I doubt it'll have much effect.

    ^^^ This. 2 different markets.

  5. Besides, they probably need to import that many a year to replace the ones that have completely dissolved. ;)

I'd like to know how many they do sell - be surprised if it's that many

A place near here does the paint jobs on new bays. You'd be surprised how many they flog.

Didn't i read somewhere they won't be making the Brazillian for much longer? maybe i imagined it...... if so then they will get even dearer as they run out of supply.

  12. We met a couple from the Isle of Man last year, wanted a bay but thought the best option was to buy new, found that the polo engine the van was equipped with couldn't manage most of the hills in the Lakes and thought all campers were like that, they were a bit gutted that you could have an auldie and sort it out to how you want it. They thought buying new would be a cheaper option - it wasn't

  14. We had one for our wedding, and I actually didn't think it was that bad (puts tin hat on and hides behind the sofa).

And if for nothing else, it meant I purchased Arthur off the back of it, which is a GOOD THING. And I got 90mph out of it O0

If it lasts long enough (and is indeed the last one) I guess it may be worth something one day?
