  1. Mmmm if I can get a pile of cash I'll have a holiday in Brazil & then buy one to ship over. :)

  2. Are we allowed to wave at them :D .... oops that's another thread :))

Like Baywatcher I don't like the roof line, but not as much as I dislike the fake spare wheel. But otherwise I don't mind em. I saw one t'other day, wasn't in my bay but I would have waved if I was, plus he didn't have the fake spare so his bus (roof line notwithstanding) was aesthetically quite pleasing..... :)

  5. I like them and dislike them if that makes sense. As a restorer, I'm thrilled they're around because the panels which come from the brazilian bays are by far the best around, apart from a few simple bits like outriggers and top hats that are made in the uk with the proper gauge steel. things like complete rear corners, complete front arches, inner front wheel housings, inner and outer sills etc are really good panels. not a good as the original german ones in terms of steel quality, but the pressing is more or less as good. Imagine if those panels had to be made by klokkerholm, you just wouldn't be able to get some bits. compare a klokkerholm complete 68-71 arch with a brazilian 73-79 arch, no where near the same quality.
My main gripe is the same problem i have with t4/t5, bmw minis etc. 'scene' wanabees. People who want the social side of the scene that grows up round certain classic cars, but don't want the hassle of actually owning the real thing.
hope that's not too harsh, no offence meant to anyone on here with a brazilian bay, i still wave at them, but it seems like a bit of cheat somehow.
