stock or low

  1.
  2. Stock height only for me, especially if you're planning to keep the stock steel wheels. Personally, I think lowered Bays on stock steel wheels look a bit naff. But, each to their own. We're all different. But it always makes me chuckle when I read folk writing 'lowering your bus will make it handle better'. Believe me, with 50 to 70bhp on tap, there's no need to improve the handling. I've driven stock height buses with 190bhp on tap and they drive just fine. They don't fall over or crash when you go round bends. I really love that bouncey bouncey feeling, looking down on cars, just as you'd expect when you own a van / small bus. There's the all-important comfort too. You'd lose that if you lowered it. The lower you go, the worse it'll get.

  3. raised suspension is more intimidating to other drivers

they are more likely to go back on a single track lane and don't tend to pull out infront of you when your steel bumper is the same height as their ear

  4. We need a Monster Bay. With huge wheels and axles.

I'm going to gently lower Percy. Only an inch or two. Just a subtle drop.

  5. slam slam slam its the only way!!!

  6. As low as possible :D

  7. Slam looks good but its impractical. Especially on my pot hole laden road. Plus tubbing, narrow beams etc. I want standard but a cuppla inches down. I am looking at the red9 beam. Looks nice (to be said in a Borat voice).

  8. I reckon its a case of horses for coarses, what do you use it for? If its plenty of camping and your minging farm tracks/campsites I'd say low.would be a nightmare. If you just like to cruise about looking good and never leave the road (and don't have many speed bumps) then slam it. Personally when mines done I want to drop it a couple of inches, not so much it looks low but just enough to make it look "normal" yet still be useable. And screw the scene! Isn't the point of a custom car/bus to express yourself and do what you want? ???

  9. after a lot of thought and looking at a few busses and chatting with their owners im going for stock height
