I briefly considered returning to Radio 2 in the afternoon when I heard the news that Steve Wright was finally going... but then I heard Scott Mills was taking his place.... so I'll be sticking with 6 Music all the way then!

I’ve always liked Wrighty . Listen every day. Can’t understand why he’s been pensioned off. Maybe I’m getting too old as well.
For daytime radio he is more than ok he isn't leaving he has been sacked just like Paul O'Grady, Liza tarbuck and a few others. Radio 2 is moving to a younger crowd Scot mills has ruined ken Bruce's show every time he has stood in for him. Change for the sake of change.
I’m not a regular R2 listener but always liked him. Over the last few years just listened to his Friday “jockin” slot …..now he’s goin’ ( no G for them that know )
The Paul Mcartney and Jeremy Vine impersonations always make me chuckle. But Steve Wright singing over songs and that annoying side kick bloke of his, I won’t miss.
Not a fan but the one memorable character from the 80`s era was THE original Sid the manager although the later version (00`s) was tosh . Used to reluctantly listen to him at work until i discovered the R4 play , daily @2.15 . Luckily i now have another job
