Is anyone doing anything to celebrate?

Im dropping my usual pilgramage to some woodland to dance by a fire
Its been 3 and a half years roughly since me and mrs para went for a meal together

So tmw night im taking mrs para out for a meal and a few drinks
We get to get dressed up a bit posh
Have an alcoholic drink whilst we read the menu
Not have to worry about the kids orders or anything

I bet were both back home by nine wondering if the kids are ok

 

I shall be appearing in Waitrose, naked.

 

I may get drunk.

 

Which one? I'll avoid it.

no nakedness but have found a small campsite overlooking the Medway which I have been trying to get into for a few weeks p so over summer solstice overnighter for me

 

I have @poptop2 and @baybirmingham to deal with!

His deffenition of the chicken is cooked is a large difference from mine

 

We go out on the mountainbikes dressed as Druids , well put some white sheets on, go to a pub then ride up to a folly on top of the hill called White Nancy, prat about a bit then ride down to another pub then go for a curry!

Yep, quite funny when we go to the Indian curry house cos we deffinately look more Ku Klux than Druids

never understand why people celebrate what is in effect the start of the end of the light nights? i much prefer the winter one when it's the shortest day and from there on in it gets lighter, the last 2 weeks of june and first 2 of august when it's light until tenish are my favourites. So today is officially the first day of summer i believe?

 

I'm on standby unfortunately, but you never know I may see the sun go down over a sewage works while turds pass by.
