That 304 is cute! (i said that in a MANLY voice) LOL
thanks, its a work in progress, just about finished rewiring it, solid old girl, bought the fastback for some bits that were missing and the spare low mileage motor and transmission.
The 304 is a pic stolen on the net as I cant find the file I have for the rebuild.. its a cute car right enough though, I drove it before work commenced and its typically French, soft and comfy.. Pinafarina designed .. Ive had it for 17 years, its took that long to collect the bits to restore it... pretty rare in RHD I think I scraped 3 RHD ones for bits.. just to make them even rarer..
He's had the Alvis 43 years,it's Green actually, uses it a lot. Competed in various HERO events quite successfully , it is a great vintage car!
not the Alvis I worked on then... I couldnt get used to the accelerator being in the middle and the gear shift on the right with the big crank for your leg... brilliant stuff real quirky.. a great proportioned car.. really pretty..
Yeh you have to concentrate for a few miles!
Think I know who's the black one is, don't recon there are many in that colour.
Sorry, Not very good at posting pictures! I ride a Triumph Tiger 1050 but I have no pictures of that. On nice days, when I don't have traffic to contend with, I use the above.
Back to Mr Duck's cars...
Did your pickup come with an engine? Was it a flathead V8?
I'm ashamed to say you've got me looking on eBay for F100s, just out of interest. Most of them seem to have been hot-rodded out of recognition. Stock looks best, I reckon...
That Hudson is huuuuuge! Would be good to see what it looks like after a good hosing down...is it maroon-coloured, or is that surface rust?!
Here's some more photo from one of our Northern Colorado Hudson Club get togethers.
Some fine motors there (love the convertibles) .
What's the spares/panels situation for these things in the US? 1947's a long time ago...
