I should've taken some before I started cleaning it up... I've done the roof this evening - it took a washing up brush to get the green layer off.
I'm going to drive it to work tomorrow. It goes like the clappers, from memory (my last speed awareness course is testament to that fact )

I had exactly that model and it came with an Austin sidevalve motor in it . I was living with mum then so this was late seventies. I drove it in to our garage and yoiked the motor and box out and popped in a 1700 tranny motor and box and nailed it all up together. Chopped the prop shafts up and got them welded back and was proper pleased with myself. I drove it down the back lane to the first bend and the brakes that worked before ok had next to no effect . Made it round the first and hit the peddle again and it started snaking and I took out the front of one or two garages perhaps merely scratches . Turned it around in the petrol station and drove it slowly home and I never got in the damn thing again. I think it ended up with some guy that raced three wheelers in a banger race sort of thing on a figure of eight track, pretty sure I gave it to him as just wanted shot of it. Back then, I had cars everywhere, I had a tranny, a beach buggy and a beetle not sure if I had my Zodiac estate then

Ozziedog,,,,.,….. never usually had two fully working at the same time :):)

It's just cosmetic at this stage, and it's already beginning to scrub up nicely....

It'll be fun trying to sort out the door locks. And where the blasted rain is getting in.
Anyone got any good tips for rubber rejuvenation? ( I just know I'm going to regret asking that question!! )

Would a jet wash not get most of that off?

It's very well attached. And if I've got to scrub away at the lichen etc anyway, what's the point in spending a fiver to do only part of the job?

Because jet washing is fun :) then when it dries you can see all the bits you’ve missed and do them by hand :).

Years ago I had an Alfa Sprint and glass the sun roof had started leaking. Someone told me to take it out and do something to the rubbers and it made them work again but for the life of me I can’t remember what I did  . I’ve tried to.
