  4. Ouch! Boots? We used to hit the heels with a hammer on new docs to ‘soften’ the heels up before wearing.

  15. @paul2590 have you been to imperial wharf/ Chelsea harbour? I used to fish there back in the early 70s when the power station pumped out hot water into the Thames

  17. Went to the Harbour hotel for Sunday lunch about 15 years. Regarding fishing never fished it , fished the Wandle when I was teen. Preferred Tench fishing at Bushy Park
    Is that shop in New kings road with the big clock that went anti clockwise still there ?

  18. I had my first double figure carp from the power station, it went 10lb 4 oz and fought like a bar steward:thumbsup:
    I too fished bushy park and the wandle where it meets the Thames in Wandsworth :thumbsup:
