Yup it's in County Durham. Handily only 30 mins from our house. Will be having a few weekends up there this year I think. Nice little village.

 

how do you fix your awnings to your vans ?

 

Mines a late 70's Westfalia awning and has a rubber strip that fits onto the guttering.

 

They attach to the gutters via a figure of 8 attachment

 

thats what baybirmingham told me i do agree but will it mark my gutters as its new panit

 

is that still the way for a drive away awning ?

 

Mine isn't a figure of 8, rather has a recess that fits snugly into the gutter. It's softish rubber/plastic so won't mark.

 

where can i get that ?

 

I think if you don't mind old school gear keep an eye out for the older awnings (70's / 80's). eBay and vintage sales.

I doubt the plastic 8 strips will damage the paint Ken. They've never hurt mine even when it was as freshly painted as yours.
